fewer 用于可数名词（复数）；less 用于不可数名词。

例句：This year we made fewer mistakes.
今年我们犯的错误更少了。

如果前面能直接加数字、并且能变复数，就用 fewer。

Use “fewer” for things you can count; use “less” for things you can’t.

Example: This year we made fewer mistakes.
   → Chinese given as: 今年我们犯的错误更少了。

Tip: If you can put a number directly in front and make it plural, use “fewer”.
