Meet the sun, the eight planets, and the family of worlds we call home.
Our sun is a star. Eight planets travel around the sun. This is called the solar system.
The planet closest to the sun is Mercury. It is very hot.
We live on the third planet from the sun. It is called Earth. Earth is the only planet with people, animals and plants.
The biggest planet is Jupiter. It is so big that more than 1,000 Earths could fit inside it!
The planet farthest from the sun is Neptune. It is very cold and very far away.
