Frequently asked questions

Why a voice note and not a form?
A 60-second voice note tells us everything a form can't — your fluency, your personality, your teaching style. It also takes you less than 2 minutes and can't be filled in by AI. We can tell immediately if you're a good fit.
When is the listing fee paid?
Only after your voice note has been reviewed and approved. You will receive a payment link at that point. Nothing is paid upfront.
How long does my listing last?
3 months. After that, simply renew to stay listed. We'll contact you before your listing expires.
What happens after 3 months?
Your listing is paused until you renew. Solo renewals are $15, Duo renewals are $20 after promo pricing closes.
Is there any commission on lessons?
None. The listing fee is the only payment to us. Every cent your students pay goes directly to you.
Can I update my profile after it's live?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with any changes — rate updates, new photo, bio edits — and we'll update it promptly.
Does the board work inside China?
Yes — 100%. Global Tutor Board is built specifically to load fully inside China. No Google services, no blocked CDNs. Students in China can find your profile and contact you without any issues.
What if I apply with a friend (Duo) — do we both send a voice note?
Ideally yes — just send both voice notes in the same WhatsApp or Telegram message thread. If your partner can't, mention them in your note and we'll follow up with them separately.
