What the Teacher Shelf is

A shop window for independent teachers. Buyers browse by subject, age and level, open your product, and press Buy from seller. That sends them to your own checkout. Global Tutor Board is a directory. We are not part of the sale, we do not hold anyone's money, and we never see a payment.

How it works

   Set up your checkout

   Open an account with a payment provider that can take payments and deliver a file, for example Dodo Payments. Create a product there and attach your file. You get a link for that product.

   Open your shop here

   Create a shop account, open your shop, add a banner and picture, and write a short About. Your shop looks like you.

   Add a product

   Give it a title, a description, the subject, age and level, a licence, your price, up to five preview pictures of the first pages, and your checkout link. Say how the buyer gets it, and add the email buyers can write to.

   We check it

   A person at Global Tutor Board looks at each product before it shows: originality, the preview, the age level and the link. Your first 10 are checked one by one. After 10 approved products, new products go live straight away and we spot-check some.

   Buyers find you

   Your product appears on the shelf, in Shops and in search. A buyer presses Buy from seller and pays you on your checkout. Your checkout delivers the file.

   You see what is happening

   Your dashboard shows views, Buy clicks and where visitors came from. Questions and reviews arrive in one box that you answer there.

What you can link the Buy button to

Any https link to a checkout you control: Dodo Payments, Payhip, Gumroad, a Stripe or PayPal link, or your own website. Short links (like bit.ly) and links to Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are not allowed.

Choose a checkout that delivers your file by itself. When a buyer pays, the checkout should email the download. For example, Dodo Payments emails the download links to the buyer and keeps them in the buyer's customer portal. A plain payment link that only takes money leaves you to send every file by hand. If you do that, choose "Sent by the seller" on the product, and send it quickly.

Who handles what

We cannot see your sales, so we cannot see who bought. Reviews come from members and say "not verified by purchase". Global Tutor Board and the buyer do not talk after the sale: buyers write to your support email, so give one you read.

The rules

• Sell only what you made and own. Nothing copied, and no one else's characters, logos or brands.
• Choose a licence for every product. A licence never allows buyers to resell your file.
• Describe the product honestly. The preview pictures must show what the buyer gets.
• Say how the buyer gets the product and give a support email. A product cannot be sent for review without them.
• If buyers report that they paid and did not receive a product, we look into it and may pause the shop.
• Links to Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are not allowed anywhere on the shelf.

What it costs

No commission on your sales, ever. When the shelf opens, a small flat listing fee will apply for keeping a shop. You will see the price before you pay anything.
