There are many kinds of animals in the world. Scientists put them into groups.
Mammals have fur or hair, and mother mammals feed their babies milk. Dogs, cats and humans are all mammals.
Birds have feathers and wings. Most birds can fly, and they all lay eggs.
Fish live in water and breathe through gills. They have fins to help them swim.
Insects have six legs and three body parts. Ants, bees and butterflies are all insects.
