Answer key — Comparatives & Superlatives (A2)
- B — more interesting. Long adjectives use more + adjective for comparatives.
- C — the tallest. Superlative: the + adjective + -est.
- B — faster. Short adjectives add -er for comparatives.
- C — the hottest. Short adjective ending in one vowel + consonant: double the consonant + -est.
- C — the worst. Bad is irregular: bad — worse — the worst.
- B — better. Good is irregular: good — better — the best.
- B — easier. Adjectives ending in -y change to -ier.
- B — more beautifully. Adverbs ending in -ly use more for comparatives.
- C — the most. Superlative of long adjectives: the most + adjective.
- B — worse. Comparative of bad is worse.
