To delay something to a later time — or to make someone dislike something.
What it means
Meaning 1: postpone. We had to put off the meeting until Friday.
Meaning 2: put someone off (something) = make them lose interest or feel discouraged. The bad reviews put me off the restaurant.
💡 “Put off” pushes a task away from you into the future.
