1Read the text The highlighted words are explained below.

Sara arrived at Cape Town airport at nine o’clock in the evening. The flight from London was two hours late because of bad weather, and she was very tired.

She waited at the luggage belt for half an hour. All the other passengers took their bags and left, but Sara’s blue suitcase did not appear. She felt worried because her passport was in her hand luggage, but her clothes, shoes and medicine were in the suitcase.

A helpful woman at the airline desk asked Sara for her ticket and wrote down the details. “Don’t worry,” she said. “Sometimes bags go on a different plane. We will bring it to your hotel tomorrow.”

The next morning, a driver knocked on Sara’s door. He was holding the blue suitcase. Sara smiled for the first time in two days. Now she could finally start her holiday.
